Recreational Trails Program Database

The Recreational Trails Program (RTP) is an assistance program of the Department of Transportation's Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). The RTP provides funds to the States to develop and maintain recreational trails and trail-related facilities for both nonmotorized and motorized recreational trail uses.

Data collection and validation for the RTP database is an on-going effort. Data will be regularly entered into the database as it is received from States, District of Columbia, and other sources.
